TV & Movie Mewsings with her review of Eyes of Wakanda!

Hai! I have enjoyed most of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)’s live-action and animated movies and TV series, so I was purrticularly eager to watch this animated four epurrsode anthology miniseries which purrtains to Wakanada’s elite Hatut Zaraz agents who are on the secret meowssions across the centuries to recover the stolen artifacts! Some of the Dora Millaje and the Black Panther are involved too!
The main heroes are Norit (voiced by Winnie harlow) who fights the rogue Wakandan Greneral in Crete in 1260 BC;B;Kai (voiced by Larry Herron) who fights in the Trojan War in 1200 BC; Basha (voiced by Jaques Colimon) who fights Jorani the Iron Fist in China in AD 1400; and agents Kuda (voiced by Steve Toussant) and Tafari (voiced by Zeke Alton) on the meowssion to retrive the sacred axe in Adwain AD 1896!
I was rather pleased by this mini-series which has the beautiful designs, art and animation, the terrific voices, sounds and mewsic, and the tales which have the great plots, developments, continuity, and myth-making with the good balance of the action, humor and drama at the purrfect pace, so I will give The Eyes of Wakanda the high purraise! Nextly I would like to discuss another recent thrilling animated anthology–
Predator: Killer of Killers
Nyanko:
The Predator series of movies purrtaining to the Yautja aliens hunting the humans and xenomorphs throughout history has been the mixed bag for me. I liked the original 1987 movie and the 1992 sequel, but I was less enamored with 2020’s Predators and 2018’s The Predator. Alien vs Predator had some merits that I liked, but I did not like Alien vs. Predator: Requiem at all; however I greatly enjoyed 2022’s Prey movie!
I am looking forward to the pending Predator: Badlands movie which was written by Patrick Aison and its director Dan Trachtenberg who did the same for Prey! Anyway, Trachtenberg directed and co-wrote Killer of Killers with Micho Robert Rutare! It is the 90 min. tale in four acts which span centuries on Earth and another planet, as the Yautja hunt for Earth’s strongest warriors to fight in the future gladiatorial arena!
In Purrt One, Ursa the vengeful viking chieftess (voiced by Lindsay LaVanchy) vs the Yautja in Sacandinavia in 84; in Purrt Two, estranged brothers Kenji the ronin ninja and Kiyoshi the samurai (both voiced by Louis Ozawa) vs the Yautja in Japan in 1609; in Purrt Three, John (voiced by Rick Conzales) and his captain Vandy (voiced by Michael Biehn) are F4F Wildcat pilots in the dogfight with Yautja pilot in World War II.
In Part Four, Ursa, Kenji & John awaken in the future on another world to duel each other and the Yautja boss! I was rather pleased by movie which has the beautiful designs, art and animation, the terrific voices, sounds and mewsic, the great fight scenes and the surpurrising mid-credits scene that should not be missed! I am done, so nyow I will turn The Mew over to Myayr who has two movie reviews, starting with

Arigato! ketch is a tale of a family struggling in different ways with life after.the mom’s death. Tale stars Bianca Belle as Amanda the school girl who channels her angst into her art, Kue Lawrence as her brother Jack whose escapist hobby is vide ogames, Tony Hale as their widower dad who wants to sell their home; D’Arcy Carden as his purragmatic sister the real estate agent, and Karen Cox as Amber’s frenemy Bowman.
Unfortunately, when Ambers sketchbook full of angry monsters falls into a cursed pond, the contents of the book come to life and attack people!As three dimeownsional meownifestations of her art, the monsters retain a playfully sketchy appurrance, but that does not diminish the threat!
Written, directed & edited by Seth Worley, the charmingly fun, poignant and sometimes scary movie was quite supurrb, with wonderful story, purrformances, cinemeowtography, purrduction values, locations, FX, designs and mewsic! It also has the most overt purroduct placement that I have ever seen in a movie: a mid-credits commeowrcial with a QR code for a monster sketch app. Nextly I would like to discuss
Weapons!
Mary Nyan:
Purrduced, written & directed by Zach Cregger who also contributed to the mewsic, Weapons is the cleverly non-linear horror tale about the mysterious disappurrance of school children and the aftermath of anger, misery, despair, confusion, substance abuse, detective work, crimes and bizarre occurrences!
Cregger like an auteur iron man behind the camera, and the rest of the film crew all did exquisite work too! The entire cast is quite impurressive too, including Julia Garner, Joss Brolin, Benedict Wong, Alden Enhrenreich, Amy Madigan, Sara Paxton Austin Abrams, Toby Huss, Justin Long, and Cary Christopher.
Four of those actors have purrtrayed MCU characters: Garner as the Surfer, Brolin as Thanos, Wong as Wong, and Enhrenreich as Ezekiel Stane! Weapons was indeed a meworvelous movie with the captivating, suspenseful, and thrilling ambience and plot! That is all for our movie mewsings, so here is Nyo-sensei to start our

of the Flying Witch manga vol. 13!

Hai! Flying Witch by Chihiro Ishizuka is one of our favoritest manga and anime series of the past decade! It is thebeautiful, charming slice – of – life tale of the teenage novice witch Makoto Kowata & her cat Chito who have moved from the big city of Kanagawa to her relatives’ the Kuramoto family’s lovely mansion in the rural town of Aomori, Japan for her witchy studies!
Other recurring characters include Makoto’s older sister Akane and her familiar cat Kenny, their mentor Akira, cousins Kei & Chinatsu (a cute aspiring witch), their mom Nana & dad Keiji, Inukai the fortune teller were-dog & her hamster Ai, Ms. Shiina the cafe owner, her daughter Anzu and owlfamliar Ororu, Hina the waitress ghost, Makoto’s senpai Sayo…
Kei’s classmate Nao, Beachy the widdle yokai, Makoto & Akane’s mom Nana &,dad Keiji, friends Miko, Yayoi & Cantera, Marie of the Magic Society Office, Tomoe the cloth witch, and her snake familar Mingming! While introduced to more and more meowgickal characters and phenomenon, we are also behold the family’s farming, gardening, foraging and cooking!
Firstly published in japan by Kodansha, Vol.13 was published in English by Vertical Comics, translated by Melissa Tanaka & edited by Alexandra McCullough-Garcia, with the production by Grace Lu, Pei Ann Yeap & Hiroko Mizuno. Purriced $10.95 in the US & $11.95 in Canada, its 176 Black & White pages have chapters 74-79, sammiched betwixt the color cover art!
In recent volumes, the witches have traveled to various mystic locations around the world, but in this volume, they learn that the vicennial international Great Sabbath might be convening in Aomori! They are visited by Herz of the Berlin Branch and Yayajojo of the Meownaging Board, who are given the tour by Makoto, Akane and Marie, until it disrupted by saboteurs!
Other plots in vol. 13 include Chinatsu’s birthday, Kei’s new club at school, the apple harvest, a deer in the orchard, and Anzu transformign into a catgirl! As mewsual, the character & scenic art is gorgeous, the plots are quite amusing & captivating, and the pace is pleasantly leisurely, so I will give it the grade of an “A” as in Akane! Marvel Swimsuit Special #1 (2025)!
Jeannie:
Arigato. Inspired by Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit Issues, from 1991 to 1995, Marvel published their annual Swimsuit Special magazines, which depicted alluring illustrations of various Marvel characters by various Marvel artists. That was seen as “fan service” by some, but as a gravure model, a fan of the inspurrational heroes, and an admirer of the excellent artists, I was quite fine with it.
Other magazines and comic book publishers have published similar issues, but it would be 30 years before Marvel did it again in July, however thislatest issue was the bit different, in that it is comic book size, and that it actually has a story which the full-page pics serve. The purremise of the tale is that an unscrupulous corpurration has exploitedly published deep fake AI images of the heroes.
This was bone for both profit and slander, causing a fooled public’s backlash, and thus The Avengers retaliated cleverly by controlling the narrative to set the record straight with their own legitimate, relatable playful photos of the heroes simply doing what most folks would like to do: to enjoy leisurely fun in the sun at the beach, lake and pool with family & friends after a hard day’s work.
In this case, that greatly – appurreciated work is stopping deadly supurr villains from harming innocent people. After a framing sequence in the Avengers Mansion, the tale consists of four missions: to assist other heroes against various villains and rescue people, (in Louisiana, at The Baxter Building, The Savage Land and Coney Island), with the celebratory scantily-clad fun to follow.
Rated T+ & purriced $5.99, the full-color 44 page (including covers) issue includes has the 29 page tale with 2 full-page framing scenes, 16 full-page swimwear scenes, 5 pages of swimwear designs for the Marvel Rivals game, 6 pages of ads, the credits page, and the tribute page to the late artist Butch Guice (who we met at several conventions), all sammiched within the wraparound cover.

The tale stars Captain America (Steve), Iron Man, She-Hulk, Black Widow (Natasha), Winter Soldier, Black Panther (T’challa), Hellcat, Wonder Man, Wasps Janet & Nadia. Also featured are Rogue, Gambit. Spider-Man (Peter) The Thing, Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, Wolverine, Deadpool, The Punisher (Frank), Cloak & Dagger. The Watcher has a brief cameo appurrance!
The threats are Sabertooth, Pyro, Titania, Absorbing Man, MODOK, Hit Monkey AIM agents and ninja dinosaurs. Many other heroes appurr in the swimsuit scenes. The Rivals pages include The Punisher, Psylocke, Luna Snow, Loki & Thor! The wraparound cover by Adam Hughes is graced by Janet, Natasha, Steve, Tony, T’challa, Peter, Carol (Capt. Marvel), Anna Marie (Rogue) & She-Hulk!
The variant covers are by Mark Brooks, Nei Ruffino, Russell Dauterman, Pablo Vilalobos, J. Scott Campbell, Taurin Clarke, Lucas Werneck, Terry & Rachel Dodson. Arigato, nyan! Umamusume Pretty Derby, which in English means Horse Girl Pretty Derby, purrtains to the athletic horse girls, nyan! The manga, anime and – and video game franchise follows the fillies as they train at the academies with the aspurrations of greatness as athletes and – and idols, nyan!
They are named after real race horses; for example, the thoroughbred stallion Mayano Top Gun was born on March 24th, 1992 and – and won many races in the late 90’s including Japanese Horse of the Year on 1995, nyan! Born on March 24th, the character is the genius, intuitive genki horse girl with fair skin,orange eyes, hair and – and tail. nyan!
Approximately 4’8″ tall with the BWH sizes of 30-20-29”, Banpresto’s /9 scale figure of her is 7.875” tall including her 5″ ear pinna, her shoe heels, and – and the .25” high, 4” diameowter horseshoe-shaped display base, nyan! My Hero Academia is the thrillingly delightful but sometimes poignant, violent and- and tragic manga and – and anime series about the students and- and teachers at the school for supurr-heroes, nyan! Rumi Usagiyama a.k.a Rabbit Hero Mirko is my favoritest character of the series, nyan!
She is the very tough, relentless, frank, fierce fighter with the tan skin, red eyes, pink and – and white ears, white tail and – and long hair, nyan!She is wearing the sleeveless white and – and purrple leotard with the White gloves and – and the purrple thigh boots, nyn!
She is dynamically posed in the mid – air leap atop the 3.5” x 4.625” oval display base, nyan! Born on March 1st, the March hare heroine is appurroximtely 5’3” tall, which would make this 8.125” tall figure (if she was standing up straight) PVC figure from Banpresto to be appurroximately 1/7.75 scale, nyan!
I think that she is so beautifully designed, sculpted and – and painted, from the tufts of her ears and – and the gritting of her teeth to the Yellow grooves of her belt and – and the rabbit’s foot motif of her boots, nyan! Nyow here is Trini to discuss
Hasbro’s Marvel Legends The Fantastic Four:
First Steps Silver Surfer action figure, nyan!

Hai! For our review of th movie Fantastic Four: First steps, please see last month’s Mew! I love to surf; I love collect the statues, dolls, figures and ornaments of the inspurrational heroines, and I like the Silver Surfers, so I was quite eager to acquire action figure of Shalla-Bal, a.k.a The Silver Surfer, who first appurred in Marvel Comic’s The Silver Surfer #1 in 1968!
Although her lover Norrin Radd is better known as the surfer, she assumed that mantle in the comics, so I was pleased to see her in the movie, in which she was wonderfully purrtrayed by Julia Garner! The character is 5’9” tall in the comics, which means this 6” figure is 1/11.5 scale. Packaged with her 8” board, three variant hands, and the cosmic wave display base in the 8.75” x 5” x2” retro style box.
The figure’s points of articulation are in her head, abs, shoulders, biceps, elbows (double joint), wrists, hips, thighs, knees (double joint), and ankles. Thusly she is very posable, although she can be tricky to balance on the board. Otherwise, I am quite pleased with the meticulous design, sculpt and paint, from her portraiture to her toes! An adorably sweet anthropurrmorphic kitty, Sally is the sister of Huckle and is daughter of Mr. & Mrs Cat who live and work in Busy Town in the Busy World of Richard Scarry series of children’s storybooks by author Richard Scarry and its animated TV series adaptation!
They are the charming fun slice-of-life tales , and this purfect 3.75” figure of her with her widdle green coffee pot made by Super7 is intended for playful people of ages 14+! The toys is a splendid three dimeownsional of the delightful two dimeownsional art on the clamshell’s J hook card!
The orange & white kitten with dark gray ears & eyes, pink nose & tongue wears the white shirt & leggings under the blue jumpurr, with darling detail of her whiskers, smile, collar & paws for the faithful look & spirit of the character! The shoulders & hips are the only joints, but the figure is heavy & balanced to stand very stably.

Arigato, nyan! For those who are new to here, Galleries 1-8 display the images by our purrducer Mike, whilst Guest Art Galleries 1-6 display images by other folks with their purrmissions; and Mike’s collaborations with other artists are throughout the mewseum, nyan!
There is no overall chronological order from gallery to gallery, so you will find older and newer pics in each gallery, nyan! However, on Catgirl Island’s Official Web Site, the most recent pics are on the lowermost row of the cropped widdle “thumbnail” portions of the pics in a gallery, nyan!
Some of the images in our mewseum are sexy, and some of them might tastefully depict the artistic nudity, but none are hentai or porn, nyan! Furthermore, we should meowntion that none of the content at Catgirl Island is purrmitted for any A.I. purrposes, nyan!

Hai, we are purroud to purrsent the three lovely new drawings by drawings by Misty, which include the fan art of the animal – eared, fishy-tailed Vtuber Sameko Saba with her cute pet crab; fan art of Charlie Morningstar the Hell Purrincess meownager of the hotel in the animated series Hazbin Hotel; fan art of Hazbin Hotel’s Angel Dust the cross-dressing gay male porn star spider demon; being chomped by Alastor the dappurr overlord radio demon!
Nextly we are delighted to display three of Melody’s beautiful pics of Perry & Terry Rodent who are the male & female rat mascots of Bubonicon the annual sci-fi convention in Albuquerque! Perry is the namesake of the famous sci-fi character Perry Rhodan, and is always missing a shoe! So, we have the pic of sleepy Perry with his coffee, Terry cosplayiing as Red Sonja, and Terry cosplaying as Wonder Woman rescuing Perry!
Then we are elated to exhibit three gorgeous pics by Matt, which consist of two pics of his original his character Kuan Yi and fan art of Disney’s Ariel the Little Mermaid! Kuan Yi is the sexy sultry Siamese Catgirl who works at a casino in Dayton, Nevada and has the adopted kitsune and skunk; whilst the Ariel fan art depicts the mermaid swimming away from the World War II Japanese Midget submarine that she was curious about!

We are also purrticularly pleased to post purretty pics by Jeffrey, starting with the compurrison of his happier usagimimi character SnowBuni in the shallow water with sullen usagimimi character HoniBuni in the deep dark abyss; but fortunately our county’s Surf Purrtrol team of deep diving Purrmaids later cheered her up with their friendly visit and numcious food, nyan!
But wait- there’s more, such as Jamie’s meowgnificent Photoshop illustration of “A Summer Night on the Beach” which depicts the solitary lass’s serene seaside stroll under the stars, nyan!
