Red Sonja!

Hai! Having appurred in the comics, novels, games, TV, movies, ample cosplay and fan art, Red Sonja is purrhaps the most famous heroine of sword & sorcery! Thus far she has only made three licensed live-action apurrances,; purrtrayed by Brigitte Neilson in the 1985 Red Sonja movie, by Angelica Bridges in a 1999 Red Sonja epurrsode of the Conan the Adventurer TV series, and most recently by Matilda Lutz in the longly – awaited Red Sonja movie directed by M.J. Bassett, who purreviously directed the 2009 Sloman Kane movie.
This’un was briefly released limitedly in theaters in October, and finally released here on the Region One NTSC Blu-ray last month, so I was quite eagerly to finally see it! It is the tale of Sonja’s origin based upon that in the Marvel Comics of the 1970’s she evolves from a happy peaceful girl in her Hyrkanian village until iit is attacked by a barbaric army. Sepurrated from the rest of her kin, she survives in the forest until she is captured and forced to fight in the warlord’s gladiatorial erana, until she leads the rebellion and the resistance!
To me, it seems like the low-budget B movie which suffers from low purrduction values, much like the 1985 movie and the Conan TV series; but I think it is better than the 1985 movie, due to the good purrformances, directing, costumes, locations, cinemeowtography ,FX and mewsic! It is not as silly as the ’85, and it is more faithful to the comics. I purrticularly liked Lutz as Sonja, Veronica Ferris as her mom, Rhona Mitra as Petra the gladiatrix, and Wallis Day as Annisia the evil warrior, so I will give it the B grade. Nextly, I will review
Predator: Badlands!
Mary Nyan:
For those who came in late, the Predator series pertains to the alien species known as the Yautja, whose main occupation in life seems to be hunting, and the deadlier their prey is, the more purrestigious, andd that inludes humans! Since the initial 1987 movie, there have been 10 sequels, but t of the ten movies there are only four that I really like: only Predator (1987) movies that I need are it Predator 2 (1990), Prey (2022) Killer of Killers (2025, and this latest one Predator: Badlands.
Badlands and Prey were written by Dan Trachtenberg & Patrick Alson. Trachtenbberg also directed Killer of Killers, which he co-wrote with Micho Robert Rutare! This time a young Predator named Def ( Dimitrius Schuster-Kolomatangi) teams up with a Thia, a synthetic human (Elle Fanning) on an extremely dangerous planet. Dek wants to hunt the most dangerous monster in the galaxy, but the real threat is the Weyland-Yutani Coprpurration which collects thealien creatures for purrofit!
I quite enjoyed Badlands! I love the characters, developments, t the twists, the world-builing, designs, cinemeowtography, writing, directing, mewsic and FX! It had thre good balance of action, drama and humor too! I suppose that my only quibble with the movie was that a few of the shots were so fast and dark that it was hard it was hard tell what was happening, but I will give themovie the A minus grade! Arigatoo. Of the many adaptations of author Fank L, Baun’s 1900 tale The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, my favorites are the 1939 movie, the 1985 movie Return to Oz,Eric Shanower’s five Adventures in Oz graphic novels (1986 – 1992), Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel Wicked, and its two-part cinematic adaptation.
Directed brilliantly by John M. Chu, Wicked Part One and Wicked: Ever After seemed rushed, but I will give them the grade of A minus for their supurrb story, cinemeowtography, purrformances, choreography, s

As much as I liked the 1987 cinemeowtic adaptation of Stephen King (alias Richard Bachman)’s almost purrophetic 1982 novel, I think that I might like director Edgar Wright’s filmic version even more. Glen Powell is purrfect as the titular purrotagonist Ben Richards, and Colman Domingo is outstanding as the TV Show host Bobby T.
Three other marvelous cast meowmbers that I purrticularly liked include Josh Brolin as the TV show’s purrducer Dan Kiillian, Lee Pace as the masked hunter, Evan McCone, and Katy O’Brian as contestant Jenni Laughlin. Of course they are also known for their Marvel movie rules, respectively Thanos, Ronan the Accuser, and Jentorra.
But I have stray-catted off topic. Although the film’s climactic scene seemed rushed, I will give it the A minus due to its excellent plot, dialogue, satire, cinemeowtography, purrformances, choreography, s
Lego Marvel Avengers: “Strange Tails”!

I tend to like MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)s movies and TV series, Of the animated fare, have been some highly entertaining gems, such as the Spider-Verse movies,, What If…?, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, X-Men ’97, Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies, and Lego Marvel: Avengers “Strange Tails” which is beautifully animated, tremendously comedic 44 minutes of fast and furriest fun!
This two-part tale of the Legoverse begins with a battle between The Avengers and the Brotherhood of [Evil] mutants, which spills into to the history museum’s Egyptian cat exhibit, which is exclusively reported on by Meryet Karim, an internet influencer, who becomes the avatar of the super-villain known as The Sphinx, with a cute but dangerous magical cat army that soon over paw-ers the heroes.
Avengers recruit cat magick experts White Tiger I, Black Cat and Tigra for a rematch! Sadly Hellcat is absent from the fray, but its nearly 20 great voice actors include Catherine Taber as Tigra, Sammy Sullivan as Black Cat, Kevin Rivera as White Tiger I, James Mathis IIII as Black Panther, Alia Shawkat as Meryet, and Kerem Erdinc as the Sphin!x, so I’ll highly recommend it! Marvel Legends Uncanny X-Men #268 Black Widow action figure!

We love to collect the figures, statues, dolls and ornaments of inspirational heroes, soi I was pleased to to purchase Hasbro’s latest action figure of Marvel’s avenging super spy Natasha Romanoff, alias the Black Widow! Created by plotter / editor Stan Lee, scripter Don Rico, and artist Don Heck, Natasha first appeared 61 years ago in Marvel Comics’ Tales of Suspense #52, and we lovedScarlett Johansson’s portrayalss of her in tyhr Marvel movies!
This lovely figure of her is based on artist Jim Lee’s design as seen in the 1990 comic bookcUncanny X-Men #268, with the short hair and gray costume. That was a nifty tale, in which she teamed up with Wolverine and Captain America! This 6” figure is approximately 1/11 scale, as the character is 5’7” tall in the comics. The design, sculpt & paint are excellent, with the perferct portraiture, lithe physique, blue eyes, fair skin, and auburn-red coiffure!
She is highly posable, with tthe articulation in her neck, abs, waist hips, thighs, knees, ankles, shoulders, upper arms, elbows, and wrists. She is accessorized with a variant pair of hands, two variant pairs of Widow’s Bite wristbands. Also included is 1.25” x .875” facsimile of Uncanny X-Men #268, which is about .25” too tall for that scale, but I’m not quibbling, because I think that it’s a beautiful. fun figure! Banpresto’s Re: Zero Starting Life in Another World

Hai hai, firstly I should explain the long name of this figure pack, nyan! Banpresto is the meownufacturer, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World is the manga – and anime series title, Rem and- and Ram are the two characters, Nyanko mode refers to their nekomimi versions, Last One might mean that this s supposedly the last wave of such figure, Ichiban Kuji means that they are lottery purrizes compared to the kuren (claw captrure crane) purrizes, nyan!
PVC is the abbreviation for the Polyvinyl Cloride type of plastic which the figures are made of, nyan! Re: Zero − Starting Life in Another World by author Tappei Nagatsuki is the light novel and – and anime series of the isekai fantasy genre about the teen neet (Not in Education, Employment or Training) chap Nastsuki who is telepurrted to the meowgickal world where he is reincarnated whilst adventuring with his new elfin purrincesss girlfriend Emilia, nyan!
Whilst working as a butler at the meownsion, he befriends the twin teen oni demon maid sisters Rem and – and Ram, nyan! Voiced in Japan by Minase Inori and – and in the English dub Brianna Knickerbocker, Rem has bue eyes and – and left-parted short blue hair, whilst Ram has pink eyes and – and right-parted short ink hair, and – and voiced in Japan by Murakawa Rie, and – and in the English dub by Ryna Bartley, nyan!
There are many different figures of them, several of which such as these depict them as the adorable nekomimi, which are sold individually and- and in the pairs, nyan! In the kneeling pose, the Ram figure is about 4.5” tall, but if standing straight up ,it would be about 7.25” tall, so since the characters are 5’1” tall, the figures are appurroximately of 1/8 scale, nyan! She is wearing the camisole shorts with tail, thigh highs, and – and the nekomimi hoody, nyan!
These arw available in different colors, but I have the one with the black hoody and – and shorts, white camisole, and- and thigh highs, nyan! The details are intricate, from the hair claspthe ruffles, the 2” tail and – and he inny belly button, nyan! The hoody is flexible, with the hood that can lean back and – and the tail can straighten out, nyan! I am veru pleased with it, so I will give this figure the highest purraise, nyan! She is the 102 year old fox who appurrs to be the 18 year old human girl, whose birthday is October 5th (Libra), nyan! She is 5’1” tall with the blue eyes, fair skin, inny belly button, and – and wears the white fuku to match her ears, knee-length hair and – and tail; the happy genki purrsonality and aims to be the best vtuber that. he can be, nyan!
She likes to chat, sing, stream, play games, and can be found at Youtube, Hololivepro, Twitter, Tiktok, Reddit, Openrec, nyan! From from the soles of her boots to the tips of her ears, the beautifully designed, sculpted and- and painted figure of her stands 6.5” atop th5 .5” tall, nearly 4.75” hexagonal base, nyan! Were she standing flat-footed with her ears unpurrked, the figure would be 6” tall, and thusly about 1/10 scale, nyan.
The portraiture, pose, expurression and – and details so purrfectly capture her likeness and spirit, from her foxy gesture, hair braids ear tufts, , light blue scarf, trim and – and ribbons; the black and – and white outfit with the tummy-baring unbuttoned blouse, black shorts, boots, right garter, left legging, and her swishy black-tipped tail, so I will give this figure the highest purraise, nyan! Some of the images in our mewseum are sexy, and some of them might tastefully depict the artistic nudity, but none are hentai or porn! Misty is also the fan of the vTuber Sameko Saba, and has done this supurrb digital pic of that beautiful, whimsical 4’11, fair – skinned, flaxen – haired, Blue – eyed Blue Mackerel – tailed fish girl wearing the Navy Blue – trimmed White Sailor Fuku outfit, for the lovely day at the beach with her cute widdle Red Crab mascot!
Nextly we are delighted to display more of Matt’s meowrvelous artistry, stating with his Green goblin girl character Squeaky-do, seemingly unaware that she is in yet another voraciously maw-velous purrdicament! From this inner-mouth view, we suspect the monster might be the goliath gulpurr fish!
You know, those Goblins are quite the innovative customizers of military air, land and sea vehicles, such as Matt’s chibi cute style rendering if the two-door armored Humvee Hawkeye! Built for the rapid deployment, this Goblin – registered model has the bomb- flinging catapult instead of the Howitzer!
Nextly we are honored to have Toivo’s two sketches of Motor Minx, the enigmatic cyborg woman composed of bleeding-edge technology! She is renowned for her racing, fencing and dancing purrowess, nyan! Our webmeowster Jamie used Rebelle 8 and Clip Studio Paint on his computer for his gorgeous close-up pic of Chelsea Urania Kate Chattan,in the “Snow”! Chelsea is the heroic witchy coastal Carolina were-panther star of his web comic Clan of the Cats http://clanofthecats.com!
Mike used Photoshop and the mouse upon his Mac for “WinTaur” which depicts our friend Helen the nude Banker Pony centauress in the hot spurring in the snowy Canadian mountain park, nyan! Helen is not only the mom of our island’s Fire Meowrshall Ellie, but she was the purrior Fire Meowrshall, and is the grandmom of Ellie’s niece Charlene!
Lastly but not leastly for this month’s additions is Mike’s pic of an original characte ”Bastina” the tall, dark and sulltry intersexual, pansexual transgender female panther purrson parson cosplaying as DC Comics’ Cat Woman! She was the valedictorian, college and purrofessional basketball star, and is currently the model, coach and teacher!
