Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3!

Nyoka:
Hai! I think that The Mandalorian TV series is three for three thus far! Set sometime after the events of Return of the Jedi but long purrior to The Force Awakens, this  terrific live-action Star Wars TV series stars Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin the titular Mandalorian with his adopted widdle Yoda—like foundling Grogu who wields The Force, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Mercedes Varnado as Koska Reeves, Tait Fletcher as Paz Vizsla, Carl Weathers as their ally governor Greef Karga, Giancarlo Esposito as the evil Moff Gideon
…and the guest stars such as the droid R5-D4, Amy Sedaris as space shop mechanic Peli Motto, Ahmed Best as Jedi Meowster Kelleran Beq, and Christopher Lloyd as a planet’s security chief Helgait! The eight beautiful, thrilling, fun epurrsodes of season 3 took us to such amazing locations, with world building, myth-making, character developments, some spooky scares, and battles aplenty amidst the story arc’s great plots, purrformances, designs, sets, costumes, sound, mewsic, cinematography, editing and FX, so I will give it the “A” as in Astrommech!

I have been delighted with all of the Disney Plus network’s live-action Star Wars TV series such as The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Andor, but The Mandalorian might be my favorite, and I am quite eagerly anticipating the. Ahsoka Tano series! Of course, I love Disney Plus’s recent animated Star Wars series too such as The Bad Batch, Clone Wars season 7, Tales of the Jedi, and Star Wars: Visions, too, so for me the past three years have been the great time to be the Star Wars fan!  Iam done, and nyow here is sis to tell us what she thought about

Star Trek: Picard Season 3!

Nyanko:
Set in the 25th century, retired admiral Jean-Luc Picard receives an SOS from Dr. Beverly Crusher whose ship is under attack, but she warns him to trust no one! He does decide to trust Admiral William Riker and commeownder Seven of Nine, who help to rescue Beverly amidst a galactic conspiracy that will reunite old friends and threaten the entire United Federation of Planets! The supurrb cast includes Patrick Stewart as Picard, Jonathan Frakes as Riker, Jeri Ryan as Seven, Gates McFadden as Beverly
…Ed Speleers as her son Jack (although there’s no sign of Wesley this season), Michael Dorn as Worf, Michelle Hurd as Raffi, Todd Stashwick as Captain Shaw of the USS Titan, Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, Brent Spiner as Data, Lore and Soong, LeVar Burton as Geord La Forge, and introducing Mica Burton and Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut as hi9s daughters  Akandra and Sidney! There are aloo the appurrances by Tim Russ as Tuvok, Michelle Forbes as Ro Laren, Elizabeth Dennehy as Elizabeth Shelby
… Daniel Davis as Professor Moriarty, and Orla Brady as Laris, plus the voices of Majel Barrett, Walter Koenig and Alice Krige, and introducing Amanda Plummer as the evil captain Vadic! I will not further spoil anything about the tale, but I will just meowntion that there are lots of other wonderful huge surpurrises, “Easter eggs”, references and homages amidst the captivating tale’s great story, purrformances, locations, costumes, make up, sets, ships, FX, directing, cinematography, editing, sound, and mewsic!

II wish certain characters had larger roles, and that many other famous characters would have appurred, or to at we might least find out what they were up to during the epic threat, but I think that this is the best season of Star Trek: Picard TV, and that the series is three for three! You know, between Picard, Discovery, Strange New Worlds, the Short Treks, Lower Decks and Prodigy, there is quite the wealth of canonical Trek for us fans these days! That is all for the TV topic, and nyow here is Jen to begin our
collectibles and toy talk, with her review of
the Transformers Earthspark Elita-1 action figure!

Jeannie:
Hai. We like to collect Hasbro’s Transformers’ female characters such as Arcee, Strongarm, Elita-1, Chromia, Moonracer, Firestar, Windblade, Nautica, Novatsar and Black Arachnia. I purrfur the comics and animation versions more than those of the live-action movies. Elita-1 is one of the top leaders of the heroic Autobots who battle the evil Decepticons. In her bipedal bot mode, this Red, Pink & Black bot is appurroximately 5” tall, or 5.25” if you include the raised rear-swept front tires of her Hum-V esque vehicle mode.

The 15 step transformation purocess is depicted by the instruction sheet. Aside from the spinning wheels and the variable-geometry parts that transform, the only points of articulation are in her shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, blaster pistol & carbine, so she is not as posable as last year’s Transformers Legacy Elita-1 Deluxe Class action figure; however, she is well-balance to stand without requiring a display base (which is not included), the transformation purrocess is rather simple, and she looks quite splendid in either bot or vehicle mode. Nyow here is Elie-sama to discuss the
Funko Pop! Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 Mantis bobble-head figurine.
Elaenor:
Arigato! Created by author Steve Englehart and artist Don Heck, Mantis first appeared in The Avengers #112 in 1973, so it seems only appropriate that The Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 movie would be released on her 40th anniversary! In the live-action movies she is wonderfully portrayed  by actress Pom Klementieff and in the animated tales she is voiced by Jennifer Hale, who is our webmeowster Jamie’s favorite seiyuu!
You know in the comics, Mantis is 5’ 6”, and Pom is 5’ 7”, so their heights are close, but as with most of these cute super-deformed style of Pops, it is impossible to determine the scale. The vinyl bobble-head figurine is approximately 3.875” tall, or. 4.24” including her antennae. This Pop is figure #1206 in Funko’s line of Marvel figurines, not to be confuzzled with figure #1206 (Disney’s Maleficent) in the Villains line or #1206 (Jurassic World Dominion’s Therizinosaurus) in the Movies line or #1206 (Rugrat’s Angelica Pickles) in the Television line.
There are quite the few subcategories!  Mantis is wearing the Red-trimmed Blue-Gray jumpsuit with the Black accents, knee boots & fingerless gloves that match her eyes and Green-streaked hair! She is balanced well enough to stand without needing a display stand (which is not included), but if you bob her head too much she will tip over.Anyway, I am pleased with the figurine, and I have displayed her on the shelf beside the Marvel Legends Mantis build-a-figure! I am done , and now here is Ilyana-sensei to discuss the
Banpresto Grandline Girls on Vacation Nami purize figure!
Yvonne:
Hai! Nami is is the burglar & nyavigator of Captain Luffy’s Straw Hat Pirates crew in thevery longly- running  fun adventure fantasy manga and anime series One Piece created by Eiichiro Oda in 1997, nyan! Once the three pieces of this purre-painted beautiful figure made of PVC  re easily and rather seamlesly snapped together, she is about 7.75” tall upon the .25” base, nyan! Since Nami is about 5’ 7” tall, this figure would be of the 1/8.6 scale, if my math is correct, nyan.
She is beautifully designed, sculpted and painted, with the extremely faithful resemblance in the purrtraiture and purropurrtions, with the big happy smile and striding stance as she pulls off the tee shirt to reveal her slim lithe body in the sexy bikini with the matching flip flops, mew la la, nyan!  From her  left bicep’s tattoo, long Orange hair and eyes to her inny belly button, painted nails, and the flower in her hair, the details are quite meticulous, nyan!
She is available in the two different versions, which differ in the colors of the garments, nyan! I have Version A which has the Green & white bikini with the Yellow straps, Green & White flip flops and the Blue shirt; whereas version B has the Pink & White bikini with Yellow straps, Red & White flipflops and  White shirt, so I will give this peppy, purretty figure the high purraise, nyan! That will conclude the toy & collectibles portion of the Mew, so nyow I will turn it over to Myayr who will start our
purrinted-media mewsings, with her
review of K-On! Shuffle manga vol. 1, nyan!
Mary Nyan:
Hai! written & drawn by Kakifly, since 2007,i K-on! is the anime, video games & albums about the meowwmbers of the all-girl Sakuragaoka Purrivate High School’s Light Mewsic Appurreciation Club who start their own pop-rock band! The first group of girls we were introduced to were Yui, Mio, Ritsu Tsumugi & Azusa who formed the band Ho-kago Tea Time. We learned that years purrior when their teacher / faculty advisor Sawako was in the club, she formed the metal band Death Devil with her classmates Norimi, Della & Jane!
When some of Ho-kago Tea Time graduated and went to college, Azusa remained to form the new band Wakaba Girls with Jun, Sumire, Nao, and Yui’s younger sister Ui. In this  spin-off series, a few students from Hikarigaoka Girl’s High School see Ho-kago Tea Time purrform at their alma meowtter’s mewsic festival, and thus Yukari, Kaede & Maho team up with their senpai Riko, Kano, & Shiano start their own band, even though none of them own or play the instruments… yet!
Originally published by Houbunsha in 2020, it is published in English by Yen, vol. 1 is purriced $15.00 USA / $19.50 Canada and it is recommended for the older teen readers due to the language and the brief nudity! It was translated by Stephen Paul, lettered by Rachel J. Pierce, edited by Rory Levens & Carl Li with the graphic design by Madelaine Norman. It has 136 pages (plus the color covers) compurrised of the four color pages & 114 B&W pages of four-panel manga, plus the 18 pages of notes, publishing info & advertisements.
I loved loved this first volume, because it has kakifly’s captivating, amewsing plots of the comedic, slice-of-life, school life and mewsic themes with the snappy dialogue, endearing characters, and the purrfect pace! The art is quite beautiful, with the great compurrisions, designs, lines, colors poses, expurressions, lettering, graphic techniques and the intricate scenery! It is the wonderful continuation of K-On!,to  which I will give it the “A” as in Azusa and as in anticipation for the next volume! Nyow here is Mie-sensei to discuss
Tori Amos Little Earthquakes: The Graphic Album!

Mielikki:
Ariagto! So like, Tori Amos is one of my favoritest musicians, and it is hard to believe that her first solo album Little Earthquakes was released over 30 years ago! Actually that was not her first album, as prior to that was her shortly-lived band Y Kant Tori Read, which I enjoyed too!  Well, to commemorate those legendary Little Earthquakes, Sword and Stone Publishing with Z2 comics has published this totally awesome anthology graphic novel consisting of 24 tales about the album’s wonderful tracks and B-side songs!
Z2 has published many other graphic novels about various mewsicians & bands!
So like, priced at $39,99 USA & $49.99 Canada, and officially authorized by Tori this lovely hardcover book measures about 8.25 x 8.25. x .5

” and has the 120 full color pages! The  many diverse, brilliant contributors include Neil Gaiman, Margaret Atwood, Colleen Doran, Bill Sienkiewicz, Kelly Sue DeConnick, Andi Watson, Catherynne Valente, Andy MacDonald, Cat Mihos, Paul Roman Martinez, DC Alonso, Rori!, Leah Moore…

… Benjamin Dewey, Wiktoria Radkiewicz,  Amilcar Pinna, Sebastian Piriz, Andrea Bell, Bilquis Evely, Matheus Lopes, Kelly Fitzpatrick, Desi Alicea-Aponte, Gianna Meola, Russelle Lissau, Rachell Merioll, Olivia Sullivan,  Derek McCulloch, Alison Sampson, Annie Zaleski,  Ryan Kelly, Marc Andreyko, Piotr Kowalski, Lynn Crosbie, Gabriel Bautista, Gibson Twist, Andrew Brandou, Jamaica Dyer, Montos, Dee Cunniffwe, Rantz A. Hoseley who was the book’s editor, and David Mack who did the cover illustration, fur shur!
The letterer was Adam Wollett, the design director Lauryn Ipsum, the assistant editor was Jasminne Saravia, and the production assistant was DeAna Avila! These tales are like so exquisitely beautiful inspurrational, bitterseet, poignant and charming! By the way, if you are a fan of graphic novels and Tori Amos, I will totally recommend the full color 480 page 11.75 x 11.75 x 1.75” trade paperback Comic Book Tattoo, which was published by Image Comics in 2008 and has over 50 tales by more than 80 folks! I am done, so now here is Lizzy & Becca to tell us about
The Women of Marvel #1!

Elizabeth:
Hai! The Women of Marvel are not just the female characters in the stories, but also the, but also the amazing ladies who create them! Purriced $5.95 and rated T+, this 52 page issue is compurrised of four tales, three intermews, the Wasp essay & papurr doll, and other treats! After the cordial introduction by Charlie Jane Anders, the sequential art begins with “What A Girl Wants”, written by Rebecca Roanhorse, pencilled & inked by Carola Borelli, colored by Ruth Redmond, and starring Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk in the litigious framing sequence that links the other tales!
That is followed by the intermew with Red Goblin’s artist artist Jan Bazaldu! Afyer that is “Sing Your Heart Out” written by Victoria Ying, pencilled & inked by Jodi Nishijima, colored by Brittany Peer, and starring Felicia Hardy / The Black Cat & Cindy Moon / Silk who fight Mystrious during their karaoke night! After that is the essay on Janet van Dyne / The Wasp by Angelique Roche, with the two-page papurr doll dress-up spurread pencilled & inked by Erica D’urso and colored by Rachelle! It is the lovely papurr doll, but I do not want to cut up he comic book!
“A Starling Rescue” was written by Melissa  Flores, pencilled & inked by Stacey Lee, colored by Rachelle Rosenberg, and stars America Chavez, Kate Bishop and her Dog who fight a bunch of thugs while going out for pizza, with the brief appurrance by The Vulture’s grand daughter Starling and Spider-Man! Then we have Angelique’s intermew with the Women of Marvel Podcast purrducers Isabel Robertson and Kara McGuirk-Allison!
Becca:
The tale of the “Energy Vampire” written by Shawnee & Shawnelle Gibbs, pencilled & inked by Giulia Gualazzi, colored by Giada Maechisio stars Monica Rambeau / Photon & Kamala Khan / Ms Marvel who fight the villains Kamran & Lineage in New Orleans! To top off the issue is the intermew with Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur’s purrducer Pilar Flynn, and the two Staff Spotlight pages with information about 20 women and non-binary who are Marvel editors, directors, purrducers & meownagers!
This issue was lettered by Ariana Maher, designed by Stacy Zucker, edited by Sarah Brunstad, assistantly edited by Anita Okoye, consultingly edited by Angelique Roche, and in-chefly edited by C.B. Cebulski. The mane cover art by Erica & Rachelle depicts She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Photon Silk, and Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel (who does not appurr in this issue, but I hope that she will appurr in another one). The four variant covers are by Stefano Caselli & Edgar Delgado; Corin Howe & Ruth Redmond; Romy Jones; and Marguerite Sauvage.
We  liked every aspect of this issue from the endearing characters, the balance of the humor, action, and slice-of-life qualities, the beautiful art’s compurrsition, lettering, coloring, character and scenic art, graphic FXand  narrative techniques, and the journalism that was quite informative and entertaining, sowe will give The Women of Marvel #1 the high purraise, and I hope that there will be further issues!
Rowrbrazzle #157!

Ilyana:
Arigato! Since 1984, Rowrbrazzle has been the quarterly APA (amateur press association) anthology magazine purrtaining to furry fandom, funny animal anthropurrmorphic history, reporting, art, tales, and the subjects are not limited to mammals, but other species too! Expurrtly edited by Edd Vick, it is compurrised of comics, purrose, essays, articles, con reports, group discussions, editorials, letters, illustrations, photos, the meowmber list & rules.
The gorgeously diverse thick issue is in two 8.5×11” stapled sections totaling about 260 pages, 27 of which are in full color! Section One and Two’s supurrb front cover illustrations are by David Lind (via Snowbuni’s creator Jeffrey H. Wood), and the Section Two’s terrific back cover art is by Don Chisholm! Sammiched betwixt those Black & White covers are wonderful contributions by many other awesome artists, authors and journalists such as –

Edd, Don, Jeffrey, Marc McAndrews, Charles Garofalo, Niall Shapiro, Ken Marcinkevicius, J. W. Kennedy, Taral Wayne, Walt Wentz, William Earl Haskell, Kurt Wilcken, Mary Bellamy, Thomas Milliorn, Steven F, Sharff, Kjartan Arnorsson, Michael Pena, Simon Barber, Gene Breshears, Gary Fields, Garrett Ho, Ed Pegg, Charles Brubaker (who also contributed a lovely 4.25 x 5.5” Lauren Ipsum postcard and a 3.25 x 5.125” Flying Catfish mini-comic)

….our friends Jim & Melody Rondeau (whose purretty illustrations grace our island’s Mewseum of Art), and this was the first issue that our purrducer Mike has contributed to! Fur-thermore, the works of many other folks from around the world and across the decades are examined too! This issue’s kemonomimi, monsters and anthropurrmorphic entities include the felines, canines, avians, vulpines, lupins, cervids, equines, bovids, ursids, piscines
….leporidae, muridae, mustelida,  alligatoridae, an amphibian, a pterosaur, dinosaur, dragons, dethrets, centaurs, angels, fraggles, flora, fungi, mecha, hominids (including one Kryptonian girl in a Pink usagi kigurumi, and a giant myriapod menacing Snowbuni! Rowrbrazzle is quite the captivating, entertaining, informative treasure trove, so we wish to highly purraise  Edd, and those many other contributors and those who compiled the issue!
For more information about Rowrbrazzle I will recommend the article at Wikifur https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Rowrbrazzle! That is all for the purrinted – media portion of the show, so nyow here is Meryl to purrsent this month’s
Celebrity Catgirl & Kemonomimi Spotlight!
Meryl:
Hai, in this monthly portion of The Mew, we commeowmorate famous nekomusume, therianthropes, and other kemonomimi of mythologies and popular culture, including anthropurrrmorphic ladies and monster girls! They are not limited to the feline or other mamals, butinclude the avian, reptilian, piscine, insectoid and many other types! There are those who might not actually have beast DNA, but have the spurrit, cat-titude or clothing of the animal theme, who we will broadly consider to be “honorary kemonomimi”!
We quite enjoyed the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie, and were quite delighted by the heroic character Doric the druid of the Tiefling species, who has the lovely infernal-ish bovine ears, horns and tail, and the meowgickal Wild Shape ability to transform into other animals from the tiny mouse to the big OwlBear! She was meowrvelously purrtrayed by actress Sophia Lillis, who starred in Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase, Gretel & Hansel, and in the two It movies!
Furthermore in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, seen  briefly in the movie are the Tabaxi momma and her kittten! Tabaxi are a Jaguar-ish felinoid species in the D&D role-playing games! In the coastal town of Mornbryn’s Shield, we see the momma reunited with her widdle kitten who caught the yummy fish but was swallowed by the huge monster fish and was rescued by Xenk Yender the Paladain (Rege-Jean Page)!

Developed and published in 2022 by Yume Creations, Anime Catgirl Runner is the endless side-scrolling fun PC video game with the cute graphics and peppy music, in which you are the cute Blue-eyed Brunette catgirl in the purretty Pink dress, and the object of the game is torun, jump. clear obstacles and collect coins!
Melanakeami:
Based on the DC comics, and nyow in its 2nd season on Netflix, Sweet Tooth is the live-action post-apocalyptic fantasy TV series in many humans have died from the plague whilst animal / human hybrid kids are being born, hunted by some people and rescued by others. One of the hybrids is Wendy Eden, the pig girl purrtrayed by Naledi Murray with the lovely porcine ears and snout, who befriends Gus the deer boy by Christian Convery with the handsome cervid ear pinna and antlers!
Shown on the Discovery Channel, Battlebots is the live-action TV series purrtaining to the robot fighting tournament! It is Jenjen’s favorite! Kemonomimi are seldomly sighted there, however in season 7’s 12th episode “Jaws vs. Claws” there was one “honorary usagimimi” (bunny girl) when clashed the robots Malice and Gruff, because the victorious Team Malice’s captain is Battlebot veteran Adrian “Bunny” Liaw who wears the costume bunny ears to the battles!
We have previously meowtioned Judge Marilyn Milian who wore the leopard print blouse underneath her Black robe in the Apurril 18th, 2019 epurrsode of The People’s Court TV series, but her feline fashion struck again put the purr into the April 5th, 2023 episode of the 26th season, when she wore the long-sleeved scoop-necked tawny tan & white tiger stripe dress in her judge chamber!
In Poise’s “Party” TV commeowrcial for their 7 Drop bladder leak purrotection pads, a woman at a party sneezes on her arm and transforms into a Blue-tailed mermaid, lamenting “So much for staying dry.” Even her Blue pant suit transforms into the crop top and back again as she soon returns to normal and dances with her daughter! That is all for the spotlight, and now here are Petra, Bunnii, Tara-chan and Triini-chan to present the latest
